Lakers Trample Utica Falcons
January 10, 2017
STERLING HEIGHTS- Onychophagia and cardioptosia reached it’s height as time expired and devoted spectators trembled to the reverberation of the buzzer.
Tuesday’s compelling matchup featured a tightly contested game between the West Bloomfield Lakers and the Utica Ford Falcons.
The Lakers seized a jarring command of the Falcons in the first three quarters. They outscored the Falcons by 5 points in the first quarter, with West Bloomfield scoring 18 compared to their opponents 13. West Bloomfield continued their swift, fast paced offense in the second and third quarters by outscoring Utica by 6 points with 16 and 3 points with 13, respectively. In the fourth quarter, however, the Lakers lacked defensive success and scoring remained stagnant. The Lakers’ insufficient performance led to them being outscored 23 to 12. Luckily, the West Bloomfield maintained the lead and was able to record a win to their record. Senior Kevin McAdoo had an incredible game as he dropped 23 points along with fellow senior Tyler Davis who scored 16 points. These two propelled the team and were a large part in the Laker’s win.
The Lakers look to take on rival Bloomfield Hills in their “Battle of the Bloomfield” game which has been dedicated to “Coaches Vs. Cancer” and to be played in Bloomfield on January 17. 100% of the proceeds from this game are set to go towards the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
