Be The Change Granted $2,000

On January 20, 2017 Students Leading Students for Change received a generous donation of $2,000 from LaFontaine Automotive Group to support upcoming events and projects.

The LaFontain family surprised the club with a large check.

Last Friday after school WBHS students thanked Mr. LaFontaine of LaFontaine Automotive Group for his generous contribution to WBHS club Students Leading Students for Change (SLS).  The club is looking forward to two programs prior to the prom season.  They will be bringing in a Distracted Driving Simulator from AAA to advocate against texting and driving in order to prevent deadly accidents.  Prior to prom, SLS for Change will take a day of silence, and at the end of the day they will showcase posters with statistics of students who make poor choices and drink, drive, or use drugs, and the deadly results. With the grant, they hope to make an impact on all of our peers.

President of Be the Change, Nina Ross and CoPresident of Students leading students, Taylor Squicciarini, thanked the family for the generous contribution.
