FARMINGTON HILLS- The Lakers just mere inches from devouring their Raider prey prove to be ineffectual and vulnerable to the swift predator.

In this closely contested thriller, the West Bloomfield Boys Basketball team was powered by senior Kevin McAdoo who controlled the offensive tempo with 19 points for the lakers, while Tyler Davis, another senior on the team, added 15 critical points of his own. The Lakers were consistent in scoring during the first 3 quarters, scoring 13, 14, and 15 points respectively. Then in the fourth quarter, they jumped up to 24 points, totaling 66.

North Farmington was more aggressive in scoring, beating the Lakers in the first, third, and fourth quarters, outscoring the lakers by 4 points for a final score of 70-66. With this heartbreaking loss, the Lakers stand 11-7 this season with an impressive 5-3 in the OAA Red division.

North Farmington guard Amari Hardy caught the attention of the spotlight with his jaw dropping second half performance. Hardy dropped 28 of his 34 points in just the second half along with a 50% shooting accuracy from the 3 point line to pull his team astray of their 2 point halftime deficit. Hardy’s clutch late performance reeled his team back into serious playoff contention as they advance to 8-6.

This performance evens up the season record between these two fierce competitors. Their first meeting resulted in a stunning Laker victory in a thrilling, dizzying overtime match. In this competition Hardy put up a memorable 46 points.
The Lakers still remain strong and look to bounce back.
