Lakers Take Over Calihan Hall
Quarter Finals Match Against Troy

Tonight the varsity basketball team will be contending for a spot in the final four. The Lakers will be in an all-out battle with Troy High School at 7 pm in Calihan Hall in the quarter finals match. Students are encouraged to wear green and support the boys as they compete in the tournament in hopes to continue their forward progress and compete in the final four.
West Bloomfield students are thrilled because of the alleged half-day on Friday that will accompany a win tonight. This will allow the students to make the journey out to Michigan State University to cheer on their student athlete peers.
The previous match for the Lakers against Walled Lake Northern on two huge plays by Kevin McAdoo, senior, who shot a clutch three-point shot, and Garrett Winn, also a senior, who recorded a last second steal and kicked it out to McAdoo, who scored the game winning shot. The Lakers have been faced with high-pressure situations, and so far this season, they have prevailed when it counts. They hope to do the same tonight. Senior Sahana Shankar attended the game against WLN and commented, “It was crazy! I didn’t realize that the boys would be able to make such a great comeback! Kevin and Garrett really made us proud!”
Tonight against Troy the Lakers will give it everything they have, but they need your help. Come show love and support the Lakers tonight, not only because school will be cancelled, but because the players need it! Go Lakers!
