The grand opening of Elite Mr. Alan’s on Northwestern Highway and Orchard Lake Road (next to Pieology) is sure to be an especially lively event for WBHS students, as the President and CEO of Elite Mr. Alan’s is WBHS graduate Jacob Bishop (‘04).

Doors open officially on Thursday, March 23 for the West Bloomfield location of Elite Mr. Alan’s. At the grand opening party, WBHS students get a discount of 20% off their purchase when they present their student ID. There will also be a jacket giveaway, a live painting by speed artist Troy Murphy, and Channel 955’s Mojo in the Morning of will be hosting the event, according to Elite Mr. Alan’s Managing Director Kris Holowicki.

On Friday, sneaker enthusiast Jumpman Bostic is to present his expansive collection of custom and limited release sneakers to the public. He is said to have over 900 pairs of shoes, so this is an event sneaker enthusiasts from across WB should be sure not to miss!

Bishop’s presence in the West Bloomfield community allows WBHS marketing students to see where their education can take them in the real world. “Business is our future, we’re all future leaders of the business world. Any time we get an opportunity to partner up with someone in the community, especially a local business, we’re all into it,”said WBHS DECA Club President and senior Josh Cooper.

Luckily, the amazing opportunities for WBHS students at Elite Mr. Alan’s don’t end with the grand opening. According to WBHS Marketing teacher and DECA Advisor Ms. Julie Zalla, “As for Mr. Alan’s, we are in talks to continue to do some tremendous things with WBHS which will benefit both our students and the community.  We are currently working on some exciting opportunities that will be available for students who are part of our program.”
