Wildcats Roar Past Lakers
April 11, 2017
WEST BLOOMFIELD- Wildcats gnaw away at defeated and defenseless Lakers.
The West Bloomfield High School varsity lacrosse team looked to take on a very talented and well strung Oxford offense on Tuesday, April 11 after suffering a grueling defeat to Chelsea. Oxford absolutely dominated the offensive end, scoring an awe inspiring grand total of 24 goals to the Lakers very sluggish 1.
While the Lakers started off quite strong in the first 6 minutes of play by only allowing 1 goal, the Oxford offensive power easily bounced back and took command for the remainder of the match. The Wildcats purely dominated possession throughout the match, limiting the West Bloomfield offense to a meager and insufficient offensive tempo.
Laker attackman Nick Long (sophomore) seemed to provide the only life for the Lakers with one triumphant goal in the second quarter.
The Lakers now fall to a slow 0-4 start on the season. West Bloomfield hopes to improve on Thursday, April 13 against rival Rochester High School at home.
