WBHS Prepares for Annual Activist Week

Next week WBHS will be hosting their annual activist week from April 17th-21st. Activist week is a week that promotes community support and generosity through fun school activities. The profits for each day will be donated to a different local charity. Some events featured will be lunchroom activities and a school blood drive.
“Activist Week offers a unique twist on your typical spirit week. Every day, spirit days will reflect the charity which will get donations from the school. For example, the red out will be reflecting the blood drive which will be held that day. The ultimate goal of Activist Week is to help out as many organizations as possible with donations that do not have to be monetary. Get involved and help out as much as you can. It’s a great week to be a Laker” said junior Adam-Ben Moche.
Activist week dress up days are as follows:
Mon- SUPERHERO DAY
Tues- TWIN DAY
Wed- BLUE OUT
Thurs- RED OUT
Fri- NEON OUT
And the profiting charities are:
Mon- Open Hands Pantry
Tues- Gleaners Food Bank
Weds- Day of Caring
Thurs- Blood Drive
Friday- Soles for Souls
Stay tuned for all these events next week!
