Class of 2017 Leaves 90s Themed Mural

As West Bloomfield High School nears the start of summer, Lakers have to say goodbye to the Class of 2017. In one way or another, however, every class at WBHS leaves a legacy.

For the Class of 2017, they left behind a mural. As most were born in the year 1999, this class will be the last of the “90’s kids.”  Appropriately, the seniors who worked on the mural based it off of the shows that aired on Nickelodeon during the 90s.

Senior Vanessa Myers commented that, “the senior mural is really cool. It’s sad to leave this class but it’s been a fun four years.”

Seniors paid $1 so that they could sign their mural. All proceeds went to their own class.

Nostalgic characters include Jimmy Neutron, The Fairly Oddparents, Spongebob Squarepants, and many more.

The seniors now have their prom, and of course, their graduation before they are done with this chapter of their life. Thankfully, they’ve left a beautiful mural for us to remember them by.
