WBHS seniors excel at On-Site Admissions Day
Seniors of West Bloomfield High School recently received an exciting opportunity to meet with college representatives on Wednesday, October 18. This annual event is known as on-site admissions, where dozens of WBHS seniors were accepted to college for the fist time.
Students sign up for the event beforehand and can choose up to five colleges to meet with. Once they meet with the representatives, the student is told whether or not they are accepted and if they got a scholarship.
“On-site admissions is an opportunity for our seniors to meet face to face with colleges of their interest” said WBHS counselor Ms. Lisa Thompkins, “We have Central University, Lawrence Tech, Tuskegee, we had a couple of historically black schools, these are some of the many choices provided.”
Over one hundred seniors signed up to be a part of the event this year, proving that WBHS seniors are committed to meeting the goal of college acceptance.
