WBHS Drama to perform “Snow White” in upcoming Children’s Show
West Bloomfield High School’s drama department is presenting their own version of the beloved Disney classic, Snow White. The play is in the school’s auditorium and will be showcased on December 1,3 and 5 on this upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday.
Cast member Drew Haddad, junior said, “This show is to bring forward the best about the theatre department for the young kids of the elementary schools. To get them interested in doing theatre when they’re older. This show has a lot more twists and turns [than the original Snow White] because we are trying to bring up much more of a cartoon element than even the cartoon did at its time.” The students starring in the play are very excited knowing they are making an impact on the younger kid’s thoughts of theatre, and hopefully persuading them to join in the future.
The scenery of Snow White was made possible by the tech crew behind the scenes. Tech member Cole Cassar, junior, said, “[Tech] has been so wonderful and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. We build two structures for Snow White and we can’t wait for you to see them.”
Everyone portrayed in this play had a huge part and could not have happened without all their hard work. Remember to come see your friends in this fantastic fairytale this weekend only! The first performance will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. The ticket price is $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for children under age 12. Tickets will be available at the door.
Your donation will support the student journalists of West Bloomfield High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
