WBHS alumna Alexa Randolph paid a visit to Mr. Stephen Toy’s Points of View classes on Tuesday, February 13, providing insight on her recently published debut novel while also answering questions about the writing process and her college experience.

After graduating from WBHS in 2012, Randolph pursued a communications degree at Michigan State University. Her career today, however, is driven by an affinity for  writing, as she has now finished her third novel.

Her first book, With Love, Ella, documents a love story between an event planner and a pro-football player that encounter a tragic fate. She plans to release her other two books in the future, and they will likely be unveiled simultaneously. One of them, as described by Randolph, will be a fictional story that is inspired by true events.

In addition to talking about her novels, she answered various questions about her time at Michigan State, including the various clubs she participated in, her housing experiences, and her time in a sorority. Randolph also spoke about the process of promoting her books, as she will be utilizing book signings and meet-and-greets to publicize and promote her novels.

Randolph adds to the long list of established authors based out of West Bloomfield, and inspires the next generation of writers from WBHS. Linked below is a trailer for her book, With Love, Ella.
