An Unforgettable Spring Break for WBHS Students
Each year, West Bloomfield High School offers its students the trip of a lifetime over spring break. This year, students had the opportunity to go to either Peru or Iceland. Each trip gives the chance to enjoy the culture of the places they visit, view famous landmarks, and create friendships and memories that they will never forget. Isabella Spoto, senior, enjoyed her 2018 spring break trip sightseeing the beauties of Iceland. Her trip consisted of being surrounded by volcanoes, glaciers, hot springs, mountains, and waterfalls. She even had the opportunity to climb a glacier, which she said, “can’t be captured with a picture or even explained.”
Being in such an amazing place means you will meet great people and make unforgettable memories, which Ava Barnthouse, who spent her spring break in Peru, also believes. She says, “everything about Peru was beautiful, the environment and atmosphere was so natural and pure. The people were all so hardworking and dedicated to their lifestyle.” She had the opportunity to visit Machu Picchu, Um Inca Ruins, the Sun Gate, and Cusco, all of which are unforgettable. These trips are the chance of a lifetime, and if you have the chance to go, then take it.
