Family Fun Night on the field!
September 13, 2018
The 8th annual Family Fun Night was held on September 7th at West Bloomfield High School. The event took place outside the football field in the school parking lot. There were many activities to be enjoyed, such as, bouncy houses, a flip book stand, games, and more. There were also vendors, giving out donuts, popsicles, candies, and hand balls.
One of the vendors was West Bloomfield parks. When asked what Family Fun Night means to them, Meagan Kurnat, marketing manager of West Bloomfield Parks, said, “Family Fun NIght is a great way for West Bloomfield Parks to connect with the community. We typically have lots of events that we offer throughout the year, but it’s also fun to come to somebody else’s event. To just mingle with people and the families, maybe see some new faces that we don’t normally see. We look forward to it every year.”
This event is something many students, families, and staff look forward to every year. As it it an amusing place to be with something for everyone. Eric Pace, the assistant principal of West Bloomfield High school said, “Family Fun Night is an event that we use to get all the kids in the district here at the high school, to see all the facilities, root on the football team, and we also bring all the activities, the games, and the first responders honor them as well. All the way through preschool kids to the incoming middle schoolers, we all come to one school, and for us as the high school to be able to sell off our community, our culture, and have people excited even at a young age to be here.”
Overall the event was a success, and ended promptly at 7pm, Just in time for the big game!
