Varsity Volleyball Goes Through Season Undefeated

The volleyball team after winning championships.
West Bloomfield High School’s varsity volleyball team has had an outstanding season this year, with a record of 8-0. The team’s most recent game was on Thursday, October 18 against Waterford Kettering.
The game also doubled as senior night, meaning the line-up was all seniors. The Lakers won with an impressive 3-0 score. The first set was competitive with a score of 25-17, in the Lakers favor. The Lady Lakers dominated the next two sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-10. The girls had an undefeated season with a lot of blow-outs.

The volleyball team had an undefeated season in the OAA (Oakland Activities Association) White Division and will be promoted next year to the OAA Red Division. The Red Division is the highest the team can go within the Oakland Activities Association.
“I could not be more proud of the volleyball team. They worked so hard this season and were so much fun to coach. I’m really going to miss seeing them everyday.” commented Taylor Strobridge, the assistant coach of the team.
The girls have a tournament at Bloomfield Hills High School on Wednesday, October 24, at 5 p.m. The first district game for the girls is on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m. at West Bloomfield High School. Congratulations to the Lady Lakers!
