KYLA CHRISTOPHER-MOODY sprinted into 2nd place at the Cross Country State Championship. This competition was held at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.

This was her 8th State Competition and she is excited to see what the future holds as she heads off to college next year.

Her thoughts on receiving second place were: “It was euphoric and I haven’t really comprehended it yet”.

Kyla was able to compete because she was in the top fifteen in her region. She took her game to the next level by racing into second place at States.

“It was a lot of fun. I knew that I did all of the preparation, I just had to show that I did it”

Kyla has been running competitively since she was in 7th grade and is planning on running on a college team. Currently, she has college offers from Michigan, Colorado, and Minnesota.

“I’d like to thank everyone who helped me. Family, friends, coaches, teachers, and doctors.” We wish her luck in the rest of her running career!
