The WBHS football team beat Southfield Arts and Technology in their first away game on Friday, Sept. 13. Lakers led 10-8 going into the second half with a field goal by junior Jake Ward and a touchdown scored by senior Ethan Bunch. Senior captain Chase Glover caught a touchdown pass from fellow senior captain C.J. Harris in the last minute of the game. Ward scored the extra point, with the final score being 17-8.

The Lakers now have two wins and one loss for the season.
