Q: What is your name?

A: “My name is Jayden Medlock.”

Q: What is your grade? 

A: “I’m in 12th Grade.”

Q: What is your favorite memory of WBHS? 

A: “When I was in freshman year, I was in a drawing class. That’s where I could draw and expand on my talent.”

Q: What is your least favorite? 

A: “When I tripped in the hall, I ripped my shirt. It didn’t reveal anything, but it was really annoying to hold it up during the day.”

Q: What was your first day of 9th grade like?

A: “I was lost and was wandering around the school. I had to check the map multiple times, and ask the administration over and over.”

Q: What makes you smile?

A: “What makes me smile is watching movies or making music. I usually make music when I’m down or happy because it makes me feel good no matter what.”

Q: What is your favorite activity?

A: “Definitely basketball, because I can go all out or take it easy. I feel it is a universal activity where I can simply do anything because the sport is so freeing.”

Q: What is your favorite moment with your friends? 

A: “Having a thanksgiving party. It was super fun playing games and board games as well. I remember we were cracking up that no one knew how to play monopoly, but it was still fun.”

Q: What would you say to people just starting out at WBHS?

A: “I say make sure you know where your classes are. I missed a lot of important introductory things because I was so late looking for things.”

Q: What is your best story?

A: “One time, my sister made us chocolate drinks. We were drinking them when I felt something off and I looked down and my drink was gone. I looked around to see if it spilled or something, but it turns out I drank it really fast. But I could’ve sworn that I only just started drinking it.”

Q: What is the scariest moment of your life?

A: “What is my scariest moment? I think it was when my car swerved out of control. Luckily, I kept my calm, but it was really scary at that moment. I’m glad I knew what to do in that situation.”

Q: What is your next step, going forward?

A: “My next step is going to visit Canada. I have a friend over there, and we’ve known each other for years, but we’ve never actually met in real lids. I’m excited to go very soon.”

Q: What was your most embarrassing moment?

A: “It was definitely when I mentioned my ripped shirt. I had to hold it and people were looking and staring, it was awful.”

Q: What is your biggest regret to date? I don’t really move on with my life with regrets. But I have a few, just like everyone else. I think not starting music earlier. It really had a good impact on my life, and it helps with my mental health as well.

Q: Who do you look up to, and why?

A: “I look up to music legends like Tupac and Biggie. Hopefully, I can be like them when I’m older. I’m not just in it to be famous, but it would definitely be a really good bonus.”

Q: What was your biggest learning experience? 

A: “Definitely the car story. I was super scared but luckily I learned to drive slowly on icy roads. It was really wild. But that has to be the best one to date in my life.”
