Kiran Pryor is a 16 year old junior who loves to play football at the high school. He is on the varsity football team. He started playing football when he was only 12 years old, so he’s been playing for around 4 years now. Pryor is a well devoted player to the game. His love of football continues to push him to strive for the best version of himself, ensuring that he always gives 100 percent every time he shows up on the field.Pryor’s future dreams include making it in the big time league, obtaining a D1 offer, playing professional football as his destined career path.
“I want to get a D1 offer so that I will be able to play college football without my parents having to pay for college,” Pryor said, “It will allow me to repay my family for the enormous amount of love and support they have given me.”
Through all the dedication and hard work, Pryor has faced some challenges throughout his football career. As a young upcoming football player, motivation can constantly come and go.
The constant fight to have self determination, discipline and control, can be a lot on a person, especially young individuals like Pryor himself.
During freshman year, Pryor wasn’t very motivated and didn’t take football as seriously as he should’ve. Pryor spoke about how he wished he could change that season of his life, due to the information and skills he has now.
“When I wasn’t necessarily seeing much of the field during the games, it really made me have self doubt and lack of motivation. I felt like my dreams were close but yet so far at the same time,” Pryor said, “ Constantly having to remind myself that everything will work out for my greater good, so I just need to keep fighting and persevering.”
Pryor’s journey is just beginning, He has such a bright future ahead of him!
Although Pryor’s performance is the reason for his mark on the field, he didn’t get this far alone. Pryor has had such a strong support system from his family which has allowed him to constantly strive for betterment. Pryor’s grandma has installed a firm foundation for him, reminding him that all things are possible with the Lord. Pryor was brought up in a traditional Christian household, keeping God at the center of his life. He has adapted a strong praying foundation, which has helped him throughout his football career. Keeping him humble, grounded, determined, hopeful, and so much more. This aspect of Pryor’s life is so important to him, reminding him that he is never alone and that success is at hand.
