New Year’s Resolution
We all want to become the best versions of ourselves. We make promises to ourselves every minute of every day: I will run tomorrow, I promise I will eat my veggies, I will be kinder to my mother, I won’t let anyone get to me, etc. We believe that we can turn a new leaf at the beginning of a new time. What better way to re-create yourself than at the beginning of a new year. Even the Babylonians swore to their gods they would become better people at the start of a year. It has become so common that today, in 2014, people rarely do not make New Year’s Resolutions. Here are some of West Bloomfield High School’s resolutions.

I think it is great that it shows other’s resolutions. It displays that we all have something to improve on and become better versions of ourselves.

My resolution this year is to be a better person in general. Whether that is to get more involved or just work on improving my weaknesses.
