West Bloomfield High School students have found tasty ways to fundraise money for school events. One of the traditional fundraisers that is a hit among students is donut sales. This year, the class of 2028 has been hosting donut sales in the iCenter.
“The donut sale has been a longstanding tradition, even before we started high school,” said sophomore, Julia Bailey. “Donuts will be available mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional sales three times a week.”
Fundraiser money is used to support different events that the classes will have throughout their time in high school. These donut sales are no different.
“All profits will go directly toward funding our prom,” said sophomore, Luisa Moretti.
Anyone who is interested in a sweet treat in the morning can pop in the iCenter in the mornings.
The class of 2026 is also making extra efforts this year with the yearly powderpuff game. They have been selling tickets that were on sale for $20.00 as cheerleaders and $30.00 for the players. Powderpuff involves who are juniors or seniors.
The boys cheer or help coach the girls who are on the field during the game. All of these things teach the students the benefits of goal setting, leadership, and teamwork.
Be sure to watch for other fundraising activities being offered to support other classes throughout the school year.
