WB Weekly Wrap-Up 4/18

This week began with one of the last Mondays of the school year. The next day, The Earth Fair, thrown by the Earth Club and teacher and Earth Club advisor Joshua Barclay, was held in the hallways from the auditorium to the cafeteria since the weather was too cold for it to be held outside. Different booths were set up to allow students to learn about ways to help the environment and for students to even participate in games that were meant to inspire them to change their ways. The Earth Club members put on a raffle system as well to give away prizes after students participated.

Thursday was the last day for the seniors for the class of 2015. There was an attempted senior prank in the morning as well when many seniors attempted to bring their dogs into the school on leashes and even one in a stroller. They were not let inside the school and the pooches were sent packing. Later in the day, the seniors said their final goodbyes to their favorite teachers and administration before they walked out of West Bloomfield High School (WBHS) for the final time as students. The seniors were let out 20 minutes before the final bell rung and they ran out into the parking lot. The seniors came back Friday for the senior breakfast before leaving the school for the last time until graduation.

There will be a three day weekend since there is no school due to Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th. The St. Mary’s Fair is occurring from Friday until Monday, so have a fun weekend and stay safe, Lakers! Look out for another WB Weekly Wrap Up next week.
