Lady Laker Showdown
West Bloomfield High School Girls Basketball defeats Lake Orion

On Tuesday January 12, The West Bloomfield High School (WBHS) Lady Lakers took on the Lake Orion Dragons and took over the court. WBHS started with great intensity with one goal in mind. They opened the first quarter score with a 18-9 lead, and continued to stay strong by ending the second half, 28-27. After halftime, the Dragons were ready to win and passed up the Lady Lakers. The atmosphere was very intense at this point. Going into the last quarter with a score of 40-36, Dragons in the lead, only encouraged the Lakers to push harder. The top shooters of the game included seniors Charlika Stubbs, Mazey Kyriakoza, Taylor Pierce, and junior Destini Cannon. With quick thinking and lots of stamina, the Lady Lakers finished the game with a score of 55-48. This brings their record to 6-2. Great job Lady Lakers, keep pushing!
