On Sunday, February 28, 2016 Sam Logan Khaleghi hosted a screening for West Bloomfield High School (WBHS) and Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA) students at Emagine Novi. The event started at two o’clock in the afternoon for the price of five dollars with an opportunity for those who participated in films submitted to Orchard Lake Film Festival to walk on a red carpet. On the red carpet, students had their pictures taken and engaged in interviews. After the red carpet, films from WBHS and FJA students that had been submitted to the festival were shown on the big screen. Following the screening, a Q&A with the filmmakers occurred so the audience could ask questions about the production process and possibilities for sequels. One of the films, Paranormal Blacktivity, was picked up Khaleghi and will soon be remade into a ninety minute movie available on Netflix.
