We understand dressing for the theme, but the theme was not embarrassing yourself. Here are some of the worst fashion moments from this year’s Met gala.
Beyonce:
She looks like a shrink-wrapped raw chicken breast covered in pearls that are worth more than all of our college tuition’s combined.
Rita Ora:
I wasn’t aware that she was promoting her upcoming feature on sesame street, but I can appreciate the fact that they finally gave Big Bird a wife.
Taylor Swift:
Taylor’s dress is what you get when you mix the 2007 fashion crisis with the tin foil-wrapped desires of someone whose parents repressed their goth phase in middle school.
Demi Lovato:
Disco ball meets macaroni and cheese chic.
Selena Gomez:
Taking her aesthetic inspiration from sea slugs, this look reminded us of 1950’s housewife mixed with the attire of someone that frequents leather bars. When the directors on set at Disney channel told you to take risks, this isn’t what they meant.
Madonna:
We don’t really remember this episode of AHS coven, a fact that we are continually grateful for. Needless to say, she is not the next supreme.
Katy Perry:
You’d think that one of those keys would unlock a wardrobe with an outfit that doesn’t make us want to wash our eyes with bleach. Apparently, we were mistaken.
Zayn Malik:
Did Zayn leave One Direction to star in the new production of RoboCop?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West:
Wax figures go to the rodeo with A LOT of tin foil.
And now for the best dressed…
Bella Hadid definitely was stunning in this Givenchy 90’s throwback gown.
Karolina Kurkova in this graceful and sophisticated floral piece by Marchesa looked simply amazing at last week’s Met Gala.
Lupita Nyong’o mesmerized attendees of this year’s Met Gala with her sleek and shimmering emerald Calvin Klein Dress and African-inspired crown of glory.

Willow and Jaden Smith were totally in-sync and looked stunning in their Chanel two piece suits.
Jourdan Dunn came to slay sporting a sleek and sexy grey bob and futuristic robot babe inspired Balmain gown.
Emma Watson definitely fit the theme of Fashion in the Age of Technology by wearing this gorgeous gown made made of recycled water bottles that was a collaboration between Watson, Calvin Klein, and Eco-Age.
Nicole Kidman looked like an enchanting sorceress in this fairy tale inspired black sequined gown by Alexander McQueen.
