Mr. Kaplan moved to Michigan in 2015. He has worked as a teacher, fiction editor, musician, actor, tutor, and guitar instructor over the years. He studied philosophy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and went on to earn his B.A. in English Literature from UCLA. He is currently in the Master of Education program at Oakland University and student teaching for Mrs. McHardy. He lives in West Bloomfield with his wife and son.
