The West Bloomfield cheer team finally did it! On Wednesday, January 25th, they placed first in their league meet competition against several other cheer squads including Oxford, Birmingham United, Troy, Royal Oak, and Southfield High School for the Arts & Technology.

The Lakers finished first out of 6 teams with a score of 721.06, winning and beating second place Oxford by a margin of 14.18 points. This was by far the best performance by the Lakers, with three of their best rounds yet during any competition. These are the scores and final results from the competition.

WBHS is very pleased to see the exponential growth and success of the competitive cheer team, seeing them go from seventh place, to third, and now to first. Their next competition is on Saturday, February 4th at Lake Orion High School. This competition is crucial, as it the is league championship. Come out and support the WBHS competitive cheer team this Saturday!
