It is about that time for current WB seniors to apply to colleges. The application process contains many steps and can be stressful. It is important to be prepared, organized and know exactly what is needed to apply to college.
One step students and teachers tend to forget when submitting applications is sending high school transcripts. Transcripts are a necessary aspect of the college application process. The first step is to create a Parchment account. Parchment is the website students use to send their transcripts. After setting up their account, students select the current high school they are enrolled in. From there, they send the transcripts electronically or by mail. The Parchment website is set up with a tracker to locate transcripts, and it will notify students by email when colleges receive them.
The best time to send high school transcripts is about the third week in September or as soon as possible said Mrs. Larkin, assistant principal. She also said sending high school transcripts is free to current West Bloomfield students. Before sending in your transcript, send a copy to yourself for review to make sure it is accurate.
Do not forget to send in transcripts through Parchment. The website is free and easy to use.
