Lights, Camera, Film Festival
On Friday, February 5th, 2016, West Bloomfield High School (WBHS) hosted its annual showing of the Orchard Lake Film Festival. There was a screening during the day and one at night. During the school day, there were two presentations of films happening at the same time; one in the auditorium and one in the forum. Different categories of film were being shown in the different rooms. The night showing which also included a dinner only displayed films by WBHS students and the overall winning films.
Films from WBHS students include Just a Cup of Coffee by Jackson Abohasira, Reboot by Justin Dooley, Lonely Boy by Drew Hughes, Meet Her Family by Nicholas Hampton, Paranormal Blacktivity by Drew Hughes, Paradoxum by Ben Goldman, 3:00 AM by Dylan Barlow, Leighanne by Emma Coste, and OC Rager by Anabel Faigin and Sarah Rasmussen. 3:00 AM won first place for suspense/horror/sci-fi. First place for best script went to Paradoxum. Reboot earned first place for action/adventure. Lonely Boy won first place for film trailers and Leighanne ended up in third place in the same category.
