These individuals established long lasting relationships with each other, while competing in adrenaline-filled matches against their rivals. The team turned into a family that created a brotherhood. These spirited athletes, some green, some experienced, were not just here to make new friends, they were here to grow as individuals and as a team. They worked through their difficult practices, encouraging each other to do more. They hoped to establish dominance throughout the league, to keep building the Laker legacy. Each and every participant showed dedication, determination, commitment, and pride in every contest. The sports can be demanding, but the participants never ceased to give their love or passion for the sport. They have made new friends and made memories that will last for a lifetime while playing. All of the hard work paid off for the entire team, especially for two seniors. The seniors include, Jake Hwier, Michael Hardin, Saad Khan, Kamaal Hassan, Jack Bachulis, Jake Phillips, Nathan Pasternak, Fadi Yousif, Carlton Jones, Kiante Perry, and Drew Warnecke. These seniors were able to propel their Laker team to doubling their wins from the previous season to finish 4-8. Jake Hwier and Kiante Perry enjoyed especially great successes by earning full scholarships to play lacrosse and attend Madonna University in the fall. They will be a great inspiration to show future players that a sport can be taken and turned into a college career.
