Give your child the opportunity to step into the world of media creation at our Media Maker Bootcamp at West Bloomfield High School.

In this two-week, half-day camp, students in grades 5–8 will:

• Film and edit their own videos

• Anchor and direct real productions

• Create news stories, PSAs, and a full newscast

• Use professional equipment alongside experienced Laker Update students

The experience wraps up with a red carpet showcase, where students premiere their work!

This is more than a camp, it’s a chance to build creativity, confidence, and real-world storytelling skills.

Important Information:

Drop off is between 7:30-7:55 AM at the front Atrium

Classes begin at 8 am

Pick-up is between 12 PM – 12:15 PM.

Anyone left at camp past the 15 Min mark of the final time will be charged a $50 late fee.

Casual but appropriate attire is required. Students should bring a sweater.
