WEST BLOOMFIELD- The Harlem Globetrotters come into town once a year, and they were in town tonight.

The Lakers dominated the matchup from the get-go with an offensive assault irrepressible for their Waterford Mott competition on January 6th. The Lakers kicked off their home opener with an offensive momentum that propelled them to go on a 18-8 run to close the first quarter. The Corsairs offensive play remained stagnant as their sluggish performance equated to a 37-16 halftime commanding lead. Waterford Mott’s lackluster performance continued throughout the second half as they struggled to hit shots and decelerate this Laker’s indomitable offense. Ultimately, the Lakers overpowered their opponents to top off the day with an astonishing 73-28 victory.

The Laker’s success and teamwork was in full display as 11 of their 12 man roster scored, along with 3 players who reached double digits in the points category. Tre Harvey led this mighty Laker team with an impressive 16 points. Just behind him Kevin McAdoo finished with 13 and James Faulkner had 11.
