Everybody has something special about them, even if they don’t show it. There are so many people around you, and there is something special about each of them. You just have to have the courage to ask.
This applies to Isabella Ludy, too. There is definitely something special about her.
Isabella Ludy is a 14 year old freshman. You may or may not know her, but you should! She’s socially energetic, but also very laid-back and nonchalant. She’s very active in school, not only doing the bare minimum of classwork, but also being a part of several programs and school electives.
“As a student, I would describe myself as determined,” said Ludy.
Ludy enjoys challenging herself in school, even when choosing elective classes.
One of Ludy’s electives that stands out more than the rest, is her Theatre class. Coincidentally and ironically enough, she plays the role of a student in this class. She takes this role very seriously because she plans on using the skills she learns in class to pursue acting as one of her future career options.
“In theatre I play as a student – as I AM a student. I plan on taking acting seriously and pursuing it as one of my careers,” said Ludy.
One of her other elective classes gives her a chance to work in interior design, where she and her fellow classmates are able to put their creative minds to work, making very eye-catchingly enticing designs and patterns. She enjoys having a chance to unleash her creativity, develop her design skills, and transform her ideas into inspiring spaces. She loves having a way to share her style with others.
“In Interior Design, we can explore the art and science of enhancing the interior of spaces to create aesthetically pleasing and functional environments,” said Ludy.
Not only is she challenging herself in the classroom, she is also focused on becoming a great student athlete. She is a part of an afterschool program that helps her train for track.
“I am a part of speed training, for track, after school. I chose to be a part of this to help prepare me for track,” said Ludy.
One of the main things she enjoys about being involved in speed training is having a chance to spend time with friends. That includes her coach, Ross Weaver.
“In terms of what I enjoy the most about this, I enjoy joking with my coach the most,” said Ludy.
When asked about Ludy, Coach Weaver had a lot to say. As a student athlete, he described her as very “time considerate” of her goals. He said that she is not afraid to ask for help and handles feedback well. She also knows how to take advice and apply it to her training routine. He believes this will help her continue to grow as a track athlete.
When asked what makes her stand out, Coach Weaver said, “Isabella’s best qualities are her work ethic and attention to detail.”
He talked about her training style, making sure to point out how she notices the little things and can tell when her game is off, even before he mentions it. She asks for feedback on how she can get better and that is really important for any student athlete.
When asked where he sees her in five years, he was confident that she would be attending her college of choice and excelling in track if she chooses to continue being involved in it.
When one of her close friends, Davion Burnside, was interviewed, he described Ludy as caring and kind. He believes these are some of the qualities that make her a great friend. He even mentions how it’s rare to find someone with a personality as bright as Ludy’s at their high school.
“What makes her stand out most would probably be her personality. There’s not a lot of people with a personality so bright in the school,” said Burnside.
She’s very active in her high school. If you’re ever walking around the halls of West Bloomfield High School, you might just find her walking past you in one of her stylish outfits, hanging out and laughing with her friends, or making unique and beautiful interior designs.
Keep an eye out for Isabella Ludy! Because you just might see her on the big screen one day as an actress, a track athlete, a star on one of those dream-home makeover shows, or all three!
