This is my 15th year with WBSD.

I serve students with last names Pr- Te  for grades 9-11, and Pau-Ti for 12th grade.

What is something that you are looking forward to at WB?

With the recent changes in the counseling department I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and getting to know them and continuing to provide exceptional service to the students of WBHS.

Where did you work before coming to WBHS?

Prior to working at WBHS I was a counselor at my alma mater Denby High School (of Detroit Public Schools).  I also worked with Detroit City Council and was the executive director of a nonprofit organization which focused on revitalizing the city of Detroit.  My first teaching experience was in Fairfax County, VA.

Where did you graduate from?

I received my Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and I received my Masters from Wayne State University.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to freshman?

I would encourage my freshman to take advantage of all that WBHS has to offer, expose themselves to their interests and passions and to immerse themselves into the wonderful diverse tapestry of our student body.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to seniors?

I encourage my seniors to stay focused. The 2nd semester tends to tempt seniors to become a little more relaxed however they must remember to continue to maximize their potential.  Their next phase of life will be some of the most exciting years of their lives.  It is a pleasure to help them with their journey!

Do you have a motto that they follow?

BElieve in YOUrself!
