The best time of the year has arrived, it’s Homecoming Week! Get ready Lakers because the spirit days for Homecoming have been revealed!

Monday: Detroit Sports Day

Tuesday: Smarty Pants Day

Wednesday: USA Day

Thursday: Laker Pride Day (for seniors it will be Toga Day)

Friday: Class Color Day

The colors for each class are different:

Freshmen: yellow

Sophomores: red

Juniors: blue

Seniors: black

This year there will be many activities for students to partake in, so get involved! On Monday, the Powderpuff game between senior and junior girls will take place, starting at 7 pm, and admission will be $5. You can pay $8 total if you buy a Mr. WB ticket along with the Powderpuff ticket. On Wednesday, the Mr. WB pageant will be in the auditorium, starting at 7 p.m., admission prices will also be $5.

Later in the week, there’s much more to anticipate.  The Homecoming Pep Assembly will be during the last period next Friday. The very first  Alumni Barbecue with former classmates, teachers, staff, and administration will take place at 4:30 p.m in the parking lot.The Homecoming parade will begin at the Prince of Peace church at 5:30 p.m. The Homecoming football game against Troy Athens High School will be at 7 p.m. During the game, the senior class Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned. Don’t forget to wear your green Homecoming shirt for free admission to the game.

Get your tickets for Homecoming early! You can buy them at the Box Office. Tickets are currently $20. Remember,  TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR! Homecoming will be Saturday night on October 7.

Eat your lunch in the cafeteria! There will be music, games, and prizes for the games. Class color t-shirts and Homecoming day shirts will be on sale for $10 each during all lunches this week. You don’t have to purchase the dance tickets or any of the shirts if you purchased a spirit pac from Student Leadership.
