On September 21st at Everdeen Hills Golf Course, the girl’s varsity golf team lost in an OAA Blue League match against Berkley High School. For varsity matches, 6 players are invited, and the four players with the best scores count towards overall team score. The top four scores in the match were from seniors, Taylor Pierce (45), Heather Haley (47), Lizzy Tepper (60) and sophomore Kassidy Myers (53). The two other players in attendance were senior Peri Applefield (61), and sophomore Lindsay Arthurs (61). Currently, the golf team is tied for 4th place with Berkley in a league which also includes Southfield, Groves, Royal Oak, and Farmington.  In early October, the season will conclude with an MHSAA regional tournament where the Lakers will look to advance to the state finals.
