From April 23rd to April 26th, West Bloomfield High School DECA students competed in the DECA International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Students came to this conference from all around the world, as there were competitors from all 50 states, all United States territories, and nine foreign countries. There were over 17,500 competitors and advisors at the conference. During the conference, students experienced a concert by Lauren Alaina, a fashion show by the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), took a river showboat cruise, attended a Nashville Sounds baseball game, and  had an opportunity to attend a concert at The Grand Ole Opry featuring country artists Lindsay Ell and Craig Morgan.

Students were each given individual time slots to compete in their events, and found out the results at the end of the week at the Awards Ceremony. The International winners from WBHS are;

Brian Bembas (10), Matthew Ladouceur (10), Nicholas Seidel (10), – 4th place – Virtual Business Sports Marketing

Timothy Sinawi (12), Shehryar Ahmed (12), Yashmeet Gambhir (12) – 8th place- Virtual Business Sports Marketing

Josh Cooper (11) – Top 20 – Creative Marketing Campaign

The qualified competitors from WBHS were Shehryar Ahmed, Brian Bembas, Jacqueline Bumler, Josh Carlin, Nichelle Clark, Josh Cooper, Brandon Crawford, Krish Deodhar, Ari Felhandler, Vietress Feller, David Filanovsky, Danielle Fink, Lauren Gagnon, Yashmeet Gambhir, Alexa Johnson, Matthew Ladouceur, Annetta Lekas, Cameron Maybodi, Krunal Moradiya, Brianna Morigney, Pooja Natarajan, Nicholas O’Shea, Rishabh Parekh, Nicholas Seidel, Shehr Asghar, Timothy Sinawi, Drew Warnecke, Alexander Weiss, Kasper Zemajtis and Lauren Zimmerman.
