Several Students Make Top 60 in Country for Their Public Service Announcements

Courageous Persuaders honored the top 60 entries at Emagine in Royal Oak

Courageous Persuaders in an organization that hosts an annual public service announcement contest on impaired driving and distracted driving. This year they added a new category, passenger empowerment. What is unique about this competition is that middle school students are the target audience and the ones that give all the feedback. Students from across the country have the opportunity to submit to this competition and win scholarship money.

This year, the Digital Media Arts class submitted their qualifying PSA projects. Out of the nearly one thousand entries, 4 projects made it to the top 60 in the nation. The creators of those top 60 were invited to attend the awards ceremony which was held at the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak. Roop Raj from Fox 2 Emceed throughout the night. There was a lot of laughs, some tears, and a generally great experience for all the students and their supporters that attended.
