He Got The Girl

Sarah Mashigan

Always the boy, thought to end up alone.

He waits, endlessly for someone to call by the phone

Lonely nights, inner-self fights

He wonders, when things will  go right.

Then she comes along, and she’s different

it seems so wrong

but he’s been waiting for so long

Forget what people say,

he will not lead her astray

She’s cool, and witty,

Too shy to admit it at first, he thinks she’s pretty

he questions  if this relationship is real,

he is not sure how to feel

but his heart, the girl steals

something great has come around

he was lost and now he’s found

she makes his head whirl

he won’t be alone anymore

he got the girl
