Varsity Football Becomes Champions of the OAA Red League

Varsity football shutout Oxford High School with a score of 48-0 and won the OAA red league on Friday, Oct. 18. 

After only scoring one touchdown in the first quarter, the Lakers put up three more in the second quarter. Junior Jake Ward kicked the extra points, and WBHS went into halftime leading 28-0.

The Lakers scored an additional 20 points in the second half, making the final score 48-0.

This was their last league game. The Lakers are now 7-1 for the season and undefeated in the OAA red league, making them the champions of the highest division in the OAA.

Their last regular season game is against De La Salle Collegiate High School on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. It will be played at Wayne State University.
