“Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey.”

Simple Words of Wisdom

This quote reminds me so much of the popular saying, “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.” The journey we call life is very different for every single person. Some may have a very trouble-free lifestyle, while others have a challenging time to overcome obstacles in their life. Yet, the bad situations always seems to overcome the good. Which is the question that we must ask ourselves. Why is that? Granted, we all have various outlooks on life, but that does not always have to result in the idea of life not being celebrated. To me, life is so giving and so beautiful that there is just too much to be thankful for. The “potholes” which also represents the difficulties in life, sometimes may seem life can not take what has been thrown its way. But, the only way an unfortunate event can change in your life if you take the initiative to do so. Celebrate any and everything in your life. There are so many people in this world who wish to be the positions that we often take for granted on a daily basis. For an example, the different teenagers in low poverty areas who do not have the proper resources to survive. Although our lives may not seem “good enough”, trust me, it really is better than most. I love to think positive and to be grateful for the life that I live. I was taught that way and as I grow older, I appreciate those teachings my parents gave me. These small teachings that were instilled at a young age, have allowed me not let the “potholes” adjust my outlook on the beautiful life I live.
