EAT’S TIME is an authentic Taiwanese boba tea shop that offers a variety of drinks and freshly made wheel cakes. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The shop itself was simple and clean with a pleasing color scheme. As their website proudly states, “EAT’S TIME brings a fresh take on bubble tea culture,” and I think they live up to that promise.
I was eager to try the tea, so I ordered a green milk tea with boba. The flavor of the tea did not disappoint, smooth and fragrant.
As they’ve put it, their menu “features a variety of premium milk teas, fruit teas, and snacks—all crafted with care and flavor in mind.” I found it to have a good diversity of tea, from the well-known black and green teas, to the possibly lesser-known Four-season tea and Tieguanyin tea. Along with tea, also offered are non-caffinated drinks such as winter melon or milkshakes, perfect for younger children. The Tieguanyin tea proved to be very popular when I visited, with its darker and more bitter taste. Cold or hot, sweet, sour, or bitter, the menu at EAT’S TIME holds it all.
What makes EAT’S TIME truly unique, though, are their wheel cakes. Before my visit there, I hadn’t heard of these before, but they quickly became a highlight of my visit. Crisp on the outside and warm with a filling of your choice, such as red bean, vanilla custard, chocolate custard, mochi taro, peanut custard, or cocoa oreo on the inside. That day I actually didn’t order any wheel cakes, but since it was the soft opening, the store manager gifted us some bubble wheel cakes as a thanks for our support. It was on the warmer side that day, but I can imagine how nice a toasty wheel cake and hot tea would be in chillier weather.
The customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly and happy to explain the menu to customers new to bubble tea. As I mentioned above, the store manager was beyond welcoming as well, making easy conversation as new people rolled in. She promoted various discounts and offers to spread the word about their grand opening.
Another thoughtful feature is the availability of free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient spot to relax, study, or catch up with friends.
If there’s one small improvement I’d suggest, it would be to upgrade the seating. The current plastic chairs are fine for a short visit, but adding something cozier might encourage customers to stay and enjoy their drinks on-site. Other than that, I might make the suggestion of a drawer of common table games for customers who plan on staying and chatting. Board games are a familiar sight in the other cozy boba shops I’ve been to, and I think that extra bit of warmth could go a long way.
A final quick tip; if you’re planning to take wheel cakes to go, order ahead, since EAT’S TIME makes them fresh and they can take around 7 minutes. They’re well worth the wait if you have the time.
Overall, I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine boba experience. Unlike many new trendy spots that rely on flashy colors and excessive toppings, EAT’S TIME focuses on authenticity and flavor. It feels like a taste of Taiwan right in the neighborhood.
EAT’S TIME has definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to boba shops. Between the authentic flavors, friendly service, and warm atmosphere, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. As their website says, “EAT’S TIME is more than just a tea shop—it’s your new go-to spot for comfort in a cup.” After visiting, I couldn’t agree more.
